Love these things. I gave it 15,000 words of the novel. Statistically significant in spades.
- You are confident, generous and unpretentious.
- You are confident: you are hard to embarrass and are self-confident most of the time. You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. And you are unstructured: you do not make a lot of time for organization in your daily life.

- You don't find achieving success to be particularly motivating for you: you make decisions with little regard for how they show off your talents. You value helping others a bit more: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
JUST SO WE'RE KEEPING SCORE:
Both Watson and the Meyers-Briggs think I'm an unassuming, generous and kind individual.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
waywardsamurai and maybe kleinbl00 (based on your comments here) will appreciate what I just did. I, uh, might have input the first ~14,000 words of Hubskina into this.
- You are boisterous, informal and generous.
You are confident: you are hard to embarrass and are self-confident most of the time. You are assertive: you tend to speak up and take charge of situations, and you are comfortable leading groups. And you are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life.

LOL I typed "50 shades of grey txt" into Google, downloaded the book as a .txt file and threw about 13,000 words in (note that it chokes on anything over 15k).
- You are social, somewhat verbose and easily rattled.
- You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. You are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are. And you are cautious of others: you are wary of other people's intentions and do not trust easily.

You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. - Your choices are driven by a desire for prestige.
- You are relatively unconcerned with both taking pleasure in life and tradition. You prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. And you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
2% agreeableness. 100% Intellect. 97% Authority Challenging. 1% Orderliness. 3% Hedonism.
This thing is more fun than a magic 8 ball.
I ran Taylor Swift's Tweets about her Staples Center shows and this is what the tool had to say:
- ou are social, confident and rational.
You are appreciative of art: you enjoy beauty and seek out creative experiences. You are altruistic: you feel fulfilled when helping others, and will go out of your way to do so. And you are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them.
Your choices are driven by a desire for self-expression.
You consider both taking pleasure in life and independence to guide a large part of what you do. You are highly motivated to enjoy life to its fullest. And you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.
Comprised of multiple Kanye West rants, from on stage to on twitter, from 2012 to 2015...:
- You are a bit compulsive, easily rattled and can be perceived as verbose.
You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. You are fiery: you have a fiery temper, especially when things do not go your way. And you are melancholy: you think quite often about the things you are unhappy about.

You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.
...Holy fuck
I ran 3 experiments: put in 7000 words from my cancer blog and 10000 words from my novel, and got wildly different results. I find truth in both - just like one finds truth in horoscopes no matter which one you decide to read for yourself?
Does each reflect my frame of mind at the time of writing?
Cancer blog: You are guarded.
You are organized: you feel a strong need for structure in your life. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Your choices are driven by a desire for well-being.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
Novel: You are generous, heartfelt and expressive.
You are confident: you are hard to embarrass and are self-confident most of the time. You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. And you are unstructured: you do not make a lot of time for organization in your daily life.
Your choices are driven by a desire for well-being.
You are relatively unconcerned with taking pleasure in life: you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
I mean, with tools like this you have to take with a grain of salt, but the "guarded" element showing in your cancer blog is just so poignant and believable...empathy seems to be a theme either way. Do you agree that you moved towards a greater need for structure during your blog time? I mean...not that you necessarily had a choice to some extent?
Yes, the "guarded" part was interesting. Certainly writing details about a serious health problem in a semi-public forum made me guarded - cautious about what I wrote. I think I was pretty structured while writing the blog.
Surprising to me was the part of "unconcerned with taking pleasure in life: you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment." At first I thought that was far off... but actually I take enjoyment from working on creative projects and producing things. I find it hard to sit and do nothing.
So I think there's something to this - different states of mind while writing led to different results which matched my personality somewhat.
Ya. I feel ya. I got virtually the same response when I submitted posts I had made about my own serious medical condition. I submitted what I thought was the real me but, could not agree with some of the points made... I think you are very right - differents states of mind and different writing pieces like from my blog vs. forum posting will lead to very different results!
I put in 10K+ words of journal entries specifically about artistic topics.
Was told "You are unconcerned with art."
These things are rarely much more insightful than a horoscope. Vague, general statements that could apply to anyone, packaged together using the text you put in as a random seed.
I don't post too much on Hubski, mostly lurk, so I tossed a fair number of my comments from Reddit. Only ~700 words, hopefully sometime in the future I'll write something big so I get a more accurate analysis.
- You are a bit indirect, guarded and can be perceived as critical.
You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. And you are self-conscious: you are sensitive about what others might be thinking about you.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.
I feel like some parts are a bit off, but I think that's just because of the relatively low number of words as well as the nature of the text (mostly programming/linux-ey stuff).
Something I found interesting, a lot of the comments here have this in common : "Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency".
I got a 98% in transcendence.
I must be the next Buddha.
On one side, it's creepy how close it hits, on the other-side, good to know that it's yet perfect, that would have been disturbing.
I wonder what effect English being my second language had on the test.
Anyway, for the test:
- You are shrewd and somewhat insensitive.
Adding formal texts in, added the insensitive.
- You are unstructured: you do not make a lot of time for organization in your daily life. You are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are. And you are imaginative: you have a wild imagination.
Yes, no, no, no, yes, yes.
- You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of connectedness.
The fact that it was extracted from the text is creepy.
- You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
After wards I placed the result I got back into the text field, wanted to see what the test said about it-self:
- You are tranquil, somewhat insensitive and shrewd.
You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. You are unstructured: you do not make a lot of time for organization in your daily life. And you are demure: you prefer to listen than to talk, especially in group situations.
Your choices are driven by a desire for organization.
You are relatively unconcerned with taking pleasure in life: you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. You consider tradition to guide a large part of what you do: you highly respect the groups you belong to and follow their guidance.
As for the GPL v3:
- You are shrewd, skeptical and tranquil.
You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Experiences that make you feel high efficiency are generally unappealing to you.
You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person. You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
Windows 10 EULA:
- You are shrewd, skeptical and tranquil.
You are calm under pressure: you handle unexpected events calmly and effectively. You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. And you are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them.
Experiences that make you feel high prestige are generally unappealing to you.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person.
A lot of this isn't what I would have considered myself to be a year ago, but maybe now between this an the Myers-Brigg thing kind of reaffirming each other, maybe it's who I've become.
- You are unconventional.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. And you are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.

Edit: Punched in everything that has gone up on my music blog so far and it gave me almost the same result as what I punched in from Hubski. Hedonism was way higher but that was the only difference.
Using a few pieces of writing (vignettes, opinion pieces, etc):
- You are heartfelt, rational and restrained.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are self-assured: you tend to feel calm and self-assured. And you are calm under pressure: you handle unexpected events calmly and effectively.
Experiences that give a sense of well-being hold some appeal to you.
You are relatively unconcerned with achieving success: you make decisions with little regard for how they show off your talents. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.
Fairly accurate except for the part about my unconcernedness with achieving success. Or is this a way to learn a bit more about yourself???
When fed strictly analytical essays from school:
- You are shrewd, skeptical and tranquil.
You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. And you are calm under pressure: you handle unexpected events calmly and effectively.
Experiences that give a sense of prestige hold some appeal to you.
You are relatively unconcerned with both taking pleasure in life and tradition. You prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. And you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
The last sentence is really true; I tend to go off prompt a lot when writing my essays, which gets me into trouble now and again.
Here's my synopsis! This is actually really awesome, it seems very accurate to me, particularly all the percentage breakdowns. I used a collection of stories and other bits and pieces of writing I have on my computer; I think those are a far better reflection of my true self rather than my online self. I might give it a go with Hubski posts and see what happens.
- You are unconventional.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are calm-seeking: you prefer activities that are quiet, calm, and safe. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
I fed it a quite technical report on simulating model rocket aerodynamics (13000 words), which I wrote for school. Probably not quite the best text to use, but the results are still fun:
- You are inner-directed, skeptical and strict.
You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of prestige.
You are relatively unconcerned with both taking pleasure in life and helping others. You prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. And you think people can handle their own business without interference.
You are shrewd.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
This is the result of the last few days. Interesting little program.
- You are a bit compulsive, somewhat inconsiderate and skeptical.
You are self-conscious: you are sensitive about what others might be thinking about you. You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. And you are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- You are a bit compulsive and unpretentious.
You are self-conscious: you are sensitive about what others might be thinking about you. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. And you are melancholy: you think quite often about the things you are unhappy about.

This is using hubski comments and text posts. Well... There is nothing I violently disagree with so...
I had to put in some stuff I wrote for school and personal writing to get 6000 words, but I tried to use stuff that I really enjoyed writing, and where I had the freedom to play around with the style and subject some.
- You are shrewd and skeptical.
You are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. And you are authority-challenging: you prefer to challenge authority and traditional values to help bring about positive changes.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of well-being.
You are relatively unconcerned with both taking pleasure in life and tradition. You prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. And you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
The empathy thing is something I've been kind of worried about, but if Watson says I'm okay, I guess I'll buy it. I scored much lower on hedonism than I expected, but that isn't a side of me I write about really, especially not here or in school.
I also ran it with some things I've written for Spanish class, though I could only find about 1400 words, so it isn't suppose to be super accurate. There are some similarities though:
- You are unconventional and somewhat indirect.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are energetic: you enjoy a fast-paced, busy schedule with many activities. And you are calm under pressure: you handle unexpected events calmly and effectively.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of discovery.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You value achieving success a bit more: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person.
I think the English is for sure a better representation of me, but the Spanish isn't bad at pointing out what I am more like in that environment. Numerically, my dutifulness shot up 44% in Spanish; my activity level went from 8% to 91%; I got about 30% more assertive and cheerful; 70% more outgoing, altruistic, and modest; and trust, uncompromising and hedonism all shot up too. My needs stayed practically the same though, and besides hedonism, so did my values. I think looking at both evaluations together probably give the best sense of me, but the differences are interesting too.
- You are a bit compulsive.
Yep.
- You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys.
Wrong :(
- You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them.
Yep
- And you are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time.
ugh yep...
- Your choices are driven by a desire for well-being. You are relatively unconcerned with taking pleasure in life: you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
Yep!
I had more narrative text on study abroad blog and I think it did a better job
- You are genial.
You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. You are calm-seeking: you prefer activities that are quiet, calm, and safe. And you are confident: you are hard to embarrass and are self-confident most of the time.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of well-being.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
- You are heartfelt.
You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
This was about 6000 words taken from various comments on Hubski. I tried to target posts that I felt I put the most effort into. This is pretty accurate to be honest. Besides the non-artistic part. I do enjoy creative activities (I write a lot haha). I tend to be too empathetic sometimes, and end up helping people that don't necessarily deserve my help.
- You are a bit indirect, skeptical and shrewd.
You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. And you are self-conscious: you are sensitive about what others might be thinking about you.

You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person. You are relatively unconcerned with taking pleasure in life: you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment.
Holy shit this is so accurate. Based on the last 1500 words in my Hubski comment history. The only thing I take issue with is the "intermittent"-ness: I do find it extremely hard to work on the same thing for extended periods of time and I need variety, but it's not necessarily the difficulty that drives that.
EDIT

- You are guarded.

Easily rattled?! I guess I play-fight too much :P
EDIT2:
It's really cool how it recognizes the purpose of scientific writing. I plugged in my undergrad thesis and got this:
- You are inner-directed and skeptical.
You are imaginative: you have a wild imagination. You are philosophical: you are open to and intrigued by new ideas and love to explore them. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.

I don't know if that is a compliment or not. Haha.
- You are self-conscious: you are sensitive about what others might be thinking about you. You are melancholy: you think quite often about the things you are unhappy about. And you are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time.
This isn't wrong but it isn't right either...
- Your choices are driven by a desire for well-being.
Spot on!
- You are relatively unconcerned with both tradition and taking pleasure in life. You care more about making your own path than following what others have done. And you prefer activities with a purpose greater than just personal enjoyment.
This bit I actually like. Speaking the truth here!
What a cool little tool. I'm gonna bookmark it and visit it every so often with new commentary I have made - It'd be interesting to see how I evolve over time or if it comes up with the same opinion.

That software is on point. It blows my mind how accurately we've managed to make a software be in regards of human psychology. Can't wait to see if they go deeper. I, for one, welcome our robot psychologists.
- You are a bit compulsive and guarded.
You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. I'll buy it. I put this text in if you want to see the rest:
Taking a bunch of comment and post text, I got this:

I guess I am relatively unconcerned with tradition. I'd say that is true. Saying that I am unconcerned with art is flat out wrong.
Said I'm shrewd too :(
- You are shrewd, skeptical and can be perceived as indirect.

Some of this seems accurate, some not so much. It kept a few of its evals even when I sampled from different sections of my comment history, so at least it's consistent?
If anyone cares, I can put up my python scrips for scraping comments so you don't have to load-copy-paste your comments by hand. Linky
My original test was with a blog post I wrote about dualism. Then I repeated with just hubski comments. The hubski content flattened out a lot of the extreme 99% this, 1% that, but things were mainly trended similarly. The written synopsis was similar in both cases.
I'm surprised how often it says that the writer doesn't value art. I wonder what that's based on. Maybe we can get _refugee_ to drop some poetry on it, and see what it says.

Yeah, maybe it's just got a narrow definition of "art"? I've definitely discussed movies, music, and fiction on here... but maybe it's only accepts content found in a museum... that or the entire engine is overtrained.
Looks from the docs that it was trained on <500 people, so I'm tempted to say it's not the most comprehensive of classifiers / judgers...
I threw 20p worth of poetry in (only about 4k words; i'll have to add 2k more from somewhere) and this is what I got (I have bolded the particularly hilarious bits):
- You are a bit compulsive.
You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. You are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of self-expression.
You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them. You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.

Here is almost 9k words of poems. Almost everything is the same. FWIW they are not mostly the same poems.
- You are a bit inconsiderate.
You are laid-back: you appreciate a relaxed pace in life. You are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are. And you are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself.
You are motivated to seek out experiences that provide a strong feeling of self-expression.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You value independence a bit more: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.

I find it interesting I don't score about a 74% in any category in this one. And in the above I think I don't go above 86.
This is neat. I'll post my results in a bit.
Hubski comment text input at ~1700 words yielded this.
You are inner-directed, shrewd and can be perceived as critical.
You are independent: you have a strong desire to have time to yourself. You are empathetic: you feel what others feel and are compassionate towards them. And you are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider independence to guide a large part of what you do: you like to set your own goals to decide how to best achieve them.
The last paragraph is spot on. As for the middle, I'm not a very confident person, it's interesting that I come off that way online.
- You are a bit compulsive.
You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys.
You consider helping others to guide a large part of what you do: you think it is important to take care of the people around you.
veen -try it :)
Here is my synopsis:
- You are social and unpretentious.
You are assertive: you tend to speak up and take charge of situations, and you are comfortable leading groups. You are unconcerned with art: you are less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys. And you are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time.
Your choices are driven by a desire for efficiency.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done. You consider achieving success to guide a large part of what you do: you seek out opportunities to improve yourself and demonstrate that you are a capable person.
Assertiveness = 100% -sounds about right. The "unpretentious" part, not exactly accurate :)
The good:
- You are shrewd, skeptical and can be perceived as indirect.
You are relatively unconcerned with tradition: you care more about making your own path than following what others have done.
And the bad:
- You are intermittent: you have a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. You are proud: you hold yourself in high regard, satisfied with who you are.
Gotta think twice about getting involved with a self-absorbed lazy ass.
I'm a big fan of outsourcing the long, boring stuff and tackling the immediately challenging stuff myself :)
